C. K. Lim
Mr C. K. Lim is a Chartered Accountant by profession and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom), a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a fellow member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia.
He has more than 30 years of working experience in public practice and held senior position in BDO Binder before setting up his own public practice. He joined Kreston John & Gan as a senior partner since 2010.
He is registered with the Audit Oversight Board, Malaysia as an auditor of a public interest entity under Section 310 of the Securities Commission Act 1993.
Mr Charles Lee is the managing partner of Kreston John & Gan. He is a Chartered Accountant of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom), and Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia. He is currently the head of the audit department and has considerable experience in auditing, financial reporting, due diligence, taxation, and conducting internal training on technical subjects.
Declan Yong Chung Sin
Advisory and Audit Partner
Declan has over 20 years of working experience in audit and assurance services. He started his career with a Big 4 accounting firm in Malaysia. Prior to joining Kreston, he was an Audit Partner with RSM Malaysia.
He is a fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. Declan also graduated with a Master in Business Administration from University of Keele, United Kingdom.
Declan specialises in the field of auditing which includes the audit of numerous public listed companies and multi-national corporations engaged in various industries such as plantation, property development, construction, manufacturing, hotel, timber, information technology and etc.
Apart from audit and assurance engagements, he has also been extensively involved in various corporate exercises and special engagements including financial due diligence review, investigative audit, business valuation and reporting accountant for initial public offerings, reverse take-over, private debt securities and other corporate restructuring exercises.
K. G. Gan
International Liaison Partner
Mr K. G. Gan is a partner of Kreston John & Gan, the firm with which he qualified as a Certified Public Accountant. He has extensive experience in auditing, investigation, financial planning and financing related work. He was actively involved in the Internal Audit Committee of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants previously. He is currently a director of 2 public listed companies quoted on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.
Mr Gan is also a member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a Chartered Accountants of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
F. S. Chong
Tax and Corporate Advisory
Mr F. S. Chong is the Managing Director of Tacs Corporation Sdn Bhd and is a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Taxation, a Member of the Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries and an Associate of the Institute of Financial Accountants, United Kingdom. He started work with the Inland Revenue Department, Malaysia in July 1968 but left in March 1971 to join Coopers & Lybrand. He is also a director of several private limited companies.
Mr John Liew is the founder of Kreston John & Gan. Prior to this, he was a Partner of Coopers & Lybrand. Mr John Liew has very extensive experience in audit, insolvency, receivership and advisory assignments.
Mr John Liew is fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australia, and a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Mathew K. Mathai
Mr Mathew K. Mathai, is the founder of Tacs Corporation Sdn Bhd. He graduated with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Malaya in 1957. He is a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Taxation. He was attached to the Income Tax Department in Singapore from December 1957 to August 1960 and with the Inland Revenue Department, Malaysia from August 1960 to May 1968. He joined Coopers & Lybrand as a tax consultant in May 1968 and left in May 1974 to set up Tacs Corporation Sdn Bhd together with Mr Chong Fook Sin.
